At IB4E, we understand that every learner has unique needs and interests. Our Equine Studies course is designed for young people who are passionate about horses and wish to develop a deep understanding of the equine industry. Whether your child is an experienced rider or someone looking to explore a future in equine care, this course offers the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to thrive in the field.
Team EBRC’s Equine Studies provision offers a therapeutic programme which aids emotional growth, learning and healing. Once the student’s needs have been fully communicated, they will embark on a week-long placement delivered in a natural, laid back evironment on our 25-acre farm.
During this week, students will be cover all aspects of health and safety including how to care for a horse and stay safe around them. Students will take parts in sensory activities involving new smells, sights and being able to touch our horses and eventually riding when the students are ready. The week will ultimately set the child up for success, preparing them them for the Level 1 or Level 2 course.
After completion of a successful introductory first week, children will be issued with with an EBRC hoody acting as part of their uniform and be registered/enrolled as a rider on our system to enable daily lessons and signed up to Equine Health and Management Course Level 1 and 2 in Stable Management.
This course is perfect for students who may struggle in social situations, require a confidence boost and have an interest in animals.
